Privacy Policy

Data we store

• Account: name, email, phone number, password (stored as a hash).
• Your AI API key (stored encrypted, used only for your AI requests).
• Career data you enter: resume, profile, answer bank, saved searches.
• Tracked jobs and application logs (title, company, outcome).
• Payment records and receipts you upload.
• Visit statistics for nextrole.my (no cookies): the pages opened, the site or campaign tag that brought you here, the device type, and a random id kept in your browser. We don't store your IP address with these statistics.

We do not store your LinkedIn or JobStreet password or cookies. The extension only uses the LinkedIn and JobStreet sessions in your browser.

The NextRole Chrome extension

• It runs only on the job sites it supports (LinkedIn jobs and profile pages, JobStreet, Workday careers sites) and on nextrole.my, and only to do what you set up: find jobs that match your searches, fill in and submit application forms, and (on Pro, if you turn it on) fill in a note to a job's hiring team.
• It sends to your NextRole account: the jobs it finds (title, company, link), each application's outcome, form questions it couldn't answer, Shield events, and the name, title and profile link of a job's hiring team when LinkedIn shows them (for recruiter pitches). It reads your profile, resume and answer bank from your account to fill in forms.
• Your Workday password, if you save one: saved in the NextRole dashboard, it is stored encrypted in your account so the extension can sign in to Workday sites for you on any computer; saved in the extension's popup, it stays in that browser only. It is used only to sign in to the Workday careers sites of the companies you apply to, never shown to our staff, and deleted when you remove it or close your account.
• It does not read your browsing history, other websites, or your LinkedIn/JobStreet messages, and it does not run code downloaded from the internet.
• The use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell it, use it for advertising or creditworthiness, or let people read it except to give you support you ask for, for security, or where the law requires.

How data is used

To fill in application forms, generate resumes/cover letters, and manage your subscription. Resume text, profile and form questions are sent to the AI provider you choose (using your own API key) for processing, subject to that provider's privacy policy. We do not sell your data.

• Cloudflare: website security, and visit statistics for nextrole.my that use no cookies

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it by contacting us. Data is deleted within 30 days of the request.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), each user's data is kept separate, and access is controlled with revocable tokens.
